Here's a vista that is beautiful any time of the year. But, on this day, after a powdery snowfall, it was breath-taking! A friend and I hiked into the area thinking we would set up and paint. It was cold and breezy, and we would be set up on the shade side of this cliff. Opting out, I painted the scene in a studio demo the next day, and have painted it twice since. Looking down into the canyon is a tough perspective to make convincing. And since being here, I have found several 'gorgeous views' in New England that will be the subjects for future paintings.
