An awesome place to paint, and on this day the group of artists attending PACE 2018 arrived early for an entire day of painting. As I began my watercolor painting, we enjoyed a snow shower and the snowflakes were driven by a slight breeze. Some of them left their mark in the sky on my painting. I was very happy to have gloves and a long raincoat. But, by noon, the sun was out and the day changed to totally delightful. I painted in another location near the foot of these cliffs . . . protected from the breeze.
Long time home of Georgia O'Keefe, the property is full of trails and wildlife. On another day, my husband and I returned to hike. When we go back, we will look into lodging on site as it is a bit of a drive from Santa Fe.
